Submissions for the fall 2026 issue are currently open!
We only accept submissions from undergraduate and graduate students in the state of North Carolina (public, private, and community colleges) during our fall and spring submission periods. Do not submit if you are not a student currently enrolled at a North Carolina college.
Atlantis's Design Committee is a new subsection of our volunteer team. While membership in our volunteer base overall is open to any UNCW student without any application process, the goal of the Design Committee is to actually create content for our upcoming issue, so we are going through a brief application process for quality assurance. (Additionally, since it's new, we're trying to keep the committee smaller so that it's easier to manage & so that we can give each member individualized assistance as needed!)
Here are the main requirements & expectations of participation in the Design Committee:
- Weekly meeting attendance (likely Tuesdays at 5:30PM, but we will still consider you even if that specific time doesn't work for you) for 3–4 weeks
- Creation of graphics and designs individually and/or collaboratively
- Past experience creating visual artwork or in graphic design required
- Only UNCW students may apply for this role
Note that priority/preference will be given to candidates who are already in Atlantis's volunteer base. That being said, any UNCW student is encouraged to apply!
